Faculty Recognition Award

for incoming students

The Faculty Recognition Award is a competitive, talent-based award. The award is renewable up to four years. The number of awards each year varies and is dependent upon funding.

Portfolio Submission Deadline: January 19, 2022


Typically, scholarships are awarded to students who are planning to enroll for the Fall term.

Talent-based Faculty Recognition Award:

  • Outstanding high school seniors entering for the first time in the Fall 2022 semester 
  • Outstanding transfer students who have earned no more than 75 transferable college credit hours and are entering for the first time in the Fall 2022 semester
  • Students who submit samples of their creative work that demonstrate strong accomplishment, talent, or ability in their intended major or field of study. Work in other disciplines will not be considered.
  • Students who have earned a cumulative high school or college grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
  • Students who have been admitted to Columbia
  • International students may be considered

Award based on:

  • Academic merit
  • Demonstration of talent, ability, or accomplishment in one of the many areas of study at Columbia
 Notification of the award:
  • Recipients will be notified in March.
