Design Management BA, Minor in Fashion Communications '23

“… Columbia has really taught me how much potential I have in terms of where I can go after graduation,” says recent Design Management graduate.

What would you say has been the most surprising thing you learned at Columbia?

The most surprising thing I’ve learned at Columbia is not so much a theory, but Columbia has really taught me how much potential I have in terms of where I can go after graduation. The skill set I’ve been taught and the potential the faculty has brought out of me changed my life!

What individuals or programs at Columbia were helpful to you in reaching your goal of graduating?

Advising has really helped me; they pay attention to what students can and can’t handle and help students really find the right path to graduate! Beth Ryan, Ben Tanzer, Tom Eslinger, and Susan Van Veen are some faculty members I’d like to highlight. They’ve been wonderful and insightful and pushed me further into thinking and creativity!

What are your plans for after graduation?

One day, I hope to own a wedding wear company for all of us who aren’t traditional.

If you were going to sum up your experience at Columbia in one sentence, what would you say?

The faculty at Columbia are amazing, and through their (sometimes unique) teaching methods, I’ve learned how to approach challenges in a new way!
