Entrepreneurship for Creatives MA '23

Graduate of the Entrepreneurship for Creatives MA program appreciates being part of Columbia’s diverse and accepting community.

What would you say has been the most surprising thing you learned at Columbia?

The fact that Columbia is such a diverse community, and all creative ideas are given a chance regardless of who you are. As a woman of color, it is amazing to be part of a community that embraces you and accepts you for who you are.

What individuals or programs at Columbia were helpful to you in reaching your goal of graduating?

My very first on-campus job as a graduate assistant to Professor Marcella David, the Provost, helped me transition into school life. The Career Center has also been a great force in helping me navigate my career path. I strongly believe everyone I have met has played a major role in my life and it is amazing to see how much effort they put into supporting you. Everyone is rooting for you.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I look forward to working with industry experts in the creative field to enhance my knowledge of the industry and expand my network.

If you were going to sum up your experience at Columbia in one sentence, what would you say?

The possibilities are endless here and this has been the most exciting phase in my creative journey.
